taskfield

Launching March 1, 2027

Manufacturing maintenance software

Unplanned downtime costs production. taskfield organizes the plant into assets and components, generates preventive work orders by time or usage, and turns every closed work order into reliability data.

The challenge

What holds maintenance back in this industry

  • Maintenance always playing catch-up

Without a reliable preventive plan, the team lives on corrective work and production stops at the worst time.

  • Failure causes in free text

"Replaced bearing" doesn't say why it broke. Without coding, there's no way to attack the failure that keeps coming back.

  • The part isn't in the storeroom

The technician reaches the machine and finds the part is out of stock. The work order stalls, and so does the line.

How taskfield helps

From plan to KPI, with no spreadsheet in between

  1. Asset hierarchy with criticality

Plant, area, line, machine and component, with class, technical specs and criticality to set priorities.

  2. Time- and usage-based preventive maintenance

Calendar plans or hour meter and counter plans generate work orders at the right moment.

  3. Coded failures

Symptom, cause and action picked from lists by equipment class, ready for Pareto analysis.

  4. MTBF, MTTR and backlog

KPIs calculated from real work orders, by machine, line and plant.

Standards and compliance

Records for safety and equipment regulations

Machine safety, pressure equipment and electrical installation rules all require maintenance to be documented. taskfield keeps the history of every intervention, with who did it and when, ready for audits and inspections under your local regulations and standards.

  • Maintenance records per machine with date, technician and procedure
  • Inspection plans for boilers and pressure vessels with controlled deadlines
  • Safety and lockout checklists before the intervention, with signature

FAQ

Questions about this industry

Can taskfield schedule preventive maintenance by hour meter?

Yes. Plans can be time-based (calendar) or usage-based (hour meter, cycle counter or mileage), and they generate work orders when the limit is reached.

Can I track parts and materials on the work order?

Yes. The technical catalog links parts, tools and PPE to equipment classes, and the work order records what was used.

How does taskfield calculate MTBF and MTTR?

From closed corrective work orders: time between failures and time to repair per asset, line or plant, with no extra data entry.

Does it integrate with the plant's ERP?

Yes. taskfield has a versioned API and webhooks to exchange assets, work orders and materials with ERP and monitoring systems.
